Multi-award winning gardens
The gardens are the ulitmate compliment to the restored home. Guests thoroughly enjoy sitting in the gazebo and fountain areas surrounded by beautiful flowers and shrubs. The gardens contain many period plantings that would have been found when the house was built in 1902. Bill has paid special attention to ensure colour is found in every flower bed throughout the growing season.
Amadeus Haus won the 2005 Perth County I.P.M. Beautification Award for Bed and Breakfasts. Bill's efforts have indeed paid off; both from his enjoyment in maintaining and nurturing, the judges point of view and from our many guests who have sat in our 3 outdoor sitting areas.
Close to 400 people enjoyed walking through the gardens during the annual Horticulture garden tour July 2nd, 2006. The gardens were chosen as best for the City in 2006. Since then we have been nominated 4 times for ward and city awards including 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.
Note: during the months of May and October the back gardens may be closed for onsite work.
