Our goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable stay for all our guests at Amadeus Haus. We celebrate our 10th Anniversary in 2012 and take great pride in our home, the guest rooms/amenities, gardens and extensive menu. Careful attention is paid to every detail. Returning guests receive a complimentary copy of our cookbook. Copies are also available for sale. We enjoy our many returning guests and welcome new to Amadeus Haus guests. Dorien (pronounced "Doreen") Murray grew up on a dairy farm in the Stratford area. Dorien retired from her corporate career in May 2004 which had taken her across Canada and the United States working as a Business Analyst specializing in workflow and business process analysis. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, sewing, working part-time at a local grocery store and completing short term contract jobs in the off season. She enjoyed sewing the many accessories for the Guest Rooms and Dining room.
Bill Murray is a native Stratford who is retired from a very active corporate career in automotive plant management and customer service. His final years saw him travel across the United States, Mexico, United Kingdom and Japan. He is an avid wood worker and award winning gardener which is evident in the meticulously kept lawns and flower beds. Guests enjoy Bill's attention to detail and workmanship throughout Amadeus Haus both inside and out. Early in 2009 Bill obtained his B Driver's License and he currently enjoys being a school bus driver.
Butler is a pure breed English Golden Retriever born March 21, 2011. He arrived at Amadeus Haus later in the year on November 4. His has a gentle disposition and love of people. As one returning guest said in her e-mail to us "Welcome, Butler! You won the Golden Retriever Puppy Lottery when the Murray's chose you!" We agree and feel equally lucky to have him in our lives and can't wait to introduce him to our many returning and new guests.
